Easter

He is Risen! Happy Easter everyone. so this is our first official blog. I hate typing so it will be brief, but hopefully it will be a good way for us to stay in touch with everyone. Today is Easter and it has truly been a beautiful day. Last nights dramatic thunderstorms have past and left our neighborhood feeling fresh and fully into spring. Today we went to church which was a wonderful mix of music, dramatic reenactment of Christ's death and resurrection, and a testimony live from Louisiana State Prison. That was dramatic and very unexpected. Pastor Bob has been intouch with a prisoner ther (in for murder) who gave his life to Christ in 2000. He gave his testimony over a live telephone feed and was inducted as a member of the church. It was pretty powerful. After that we came home for a wonderful easter egg hunt just for our family. Maddie and Michael loved it as the pictures show. It has just been a wonderful time.
Now everyone is resting (except Lilly who has been teething horribly for the last week + ear infection + a cold + constipation = not happy) We are fast approaching our moving day and the days are passing far too quickly. Although we are anxious and excited about the new adventure our hearts are truly grounded here. It has been a season of true blessing and growth. We love the family we have made here and will sorely miss them all. That is the truth of military life...change. You are always meeting new people and saying goodbye to others. It is a blessing and a curse. Our final "out" is in early May so basically 3 weeks left that will be filled with cleaning, packing, saying goodbye, checklist, and unrest. We pray for peace for ourselves and the kids in this time so that they will feel safe in a time of change. That is all for now. We will be giving more updates later.
